More Information

Join artist Marcia Farquhar for a unique monologue performance as she sits atop her outsized rocking horse discussing equine matters such as the role of the horse in the English psyche, equestrian statuary and Freudian implications for the young female rider.

The artist's grandmother was rumoured to have announced 'The horse is a noble animal' if ever gossip erupted in the dining room, when everyone present would know to return to form.

Farquhar’s practice embraces performance, photography, video and object-making. Her site-specific works have been staged and exhibited internationally. Her performances are conceptual in nature and often precariously balanced between the prescribed and the unpredictable.
  • Please meet at the YSP Learning Centre 10 minutes before the event start time.
