More Information

Using archival World War One material, from the National Arts Education Archive (NAEA) at YSP, along with other sources from the period, Starting Points’ members and guest artists have developed their own individual responses to the commemoration. Looking Back Down the Line demonstrates the contemporary relevance of historic materials and provides new insights and understandings into their significance.

Starting Points was originally formed in 2003 to stimulate and encourage personal practice by working with visual artist Hilary Bower and the Bankfield Museum in Halifax.
