More Information

Darrell was a visiting artist at YSP for three weeks in 2015. During his time at the Park, Darrell developed the idea for Heavy Breathers.

Art is a means to invent. The resulting apparatus are designed to achieve miraculous happenings, machines that manifest the will, holding together just long enough...
Art has allowed me to explore many areas of interest such as electrostatic sculpture, musical instruments, pyrotechnic archery, geodesic dwellings, party popper gatling cannons, and glasses that make reality even more 3D. I am a deep sea diver, fireball, death ray, prosthetic aided shoplifter, and recently I became a wind turbine and generated my own lightning.

Gorgeous film... he is an exciting talent... from Norfolk by any chance? Bronte Woodruff on William Darrell
A startling piece of work, a vision of an alien species...like observing a bursting seed pod energised by the presence of a Watcher. Imaginative and technically brilliant. Stephen Ripley on William Darrell
