The company has developed and delivered a strong artistic programme of high profile touring performances in theatres, festivals and galleries across the UK as well as working in non-traditional spaces including churches, parks and public spaces. Another element of the company work involves delivering an educational programme of workshops and classes in schools throughout the region and beyond.

In addition to the work above the company has also established a strong track record of delivering community based activities designed to benefit the general public particularly in areas identified as requiring additional social support. The programme at YSP has included performances and workshops in classical Indian music, carnatic music, bharatanatyam dance, as well as percussion and fusions music.

Each year we work with Manasamitra to celebrate Diwali, the festival of light, and each year has brought with it something new. In 2008 we hosted a performance by acclaimed musician Pete Locket, a versatile multi-percussionists who has worked with artists such as Björk, Nitin Sawhne and DJ Judge Jules, In 2009 we celebrated with a procession of Bhangra dance through the country park, and to mark Diwali 2010, a flute performance was held at sunrise in the skyspace.
