Kadygrob and Taylor Art Projects, Kiev, were inspired by Yorkshire Sculpture Park to stage a major sculpture project in the city to coincide with Euro 2012 in June of next year. YSP will co-curate a showcase of some of the best examples of sculpture by contemporary artists, including Jaume Plensa, Magdalena Abakanowicz and Sui Jianguo. Sited in the city’s beautiful National Botanical Garden after Hryshko, overlooking the Dnipro river, the The Kyiv Sculpture Project (KSP) will also feature twenty recent or specially commissioned works chosen by competition from an international open call.

Artists are invited to submit entries by 27 January 2012 for pre-selection. All types, forms and sizes of sculpture in all materials are eligible for entry to KSP. Existing sculptures produced after 2009, works-in-progress and proposals are also acceptable. The curatorial panel will select up to 20 art-works for the festival exhibition on a competition basis.
