It is a custom to visit Wish Trees in South East Asia and tie a wish, written on a piece of wood or paper to the branches of the tree.
Inspired by Isamu Noguchi at YSP in 2008/9, an oak was chosen as the YSP Wish Tree. Visitors were invited to make a donation, and claim a piece of wood at the information desk. Visitor’s wishes were tied to the Wish Tree as it continued to grow until May 2009.
