Scottish designer Donna Wilson brings her playful textiles to Yorkshire Sculpture Park this winter in the 'Endangered Species' exhibition 19.11.11 - 26.02.12.

Donna has collaborated with furniture designers SCP to create a range of functional and beautiful products that are built to last.

Donna Wilson has come up with a playful response to the problem of occasional seating with a range of three low-lying pouffes, designed to bring a little softness, intimacy and colour into the home. Each pouffe is made by hand stuffing Calico bags and upholstering them with panels, reminiscent of segments of an orange. The pouffes are made at SCP’s upholstery factory in England. The Treecloud is knitted in Scotland from 100% lambs wool using a traditional Fairisle knitting technique. If you look closely you will be able to make out the tiny clouds and trees that make up the pattern.
