Texts by Alex Hodby, Clare Lilley & Kenny Hunter.

Kenny Hunter's predominantly figurative style of sculpture, with its hints at cultural dichotomies and seamless layering of political thought and poetic expression was first exhibited at YSP in 1999, when one of his pieces, consisting of a bookshelf with bookends adorned by busts of Monica Lewinsky and Osama bin Laden, was included in an exhibition of multiples. In 2006 Hunter had a solo exhibition at YSP entitled Natural Selection. In this book, which was published in conjunction with the exhibition, photographs of some of Hunter’s finest and most affecting work are preceded by an essay by former YSP Deputy Curator Alex Hodby.
