Rob Ryan produces breath takingly delicate paper cuts and beautiful screen prints. Whimsical, fanciful and at times desperately and achingly romantic, his pieces abound with words-texts that often reach visceral depths whilst retaining a naivety and innocence. Ryan's output encompasses a wealth of media from ceramic tiles to fabrics, jewellery, clothing, plates, mugs and tea towels. His designs have been used in many collaborations with clients such as Sir Paul Smith, Vogue, Liberty of London and Fortnum and Mason.
In beautiful blue, each one in it's own red envelope, hand tied with black ribbon.
Text reads: ”Can We? Shall We? One day very soon, let us go away together just you and me. Can We? Shall We? Call in sick one day and travel to the sea and hold hands all day. Can We? Shall We? Eat our sandwiches on the train, get drunk on fresh air and come home tired and never tell anyone.... Ever.”
