Projects

YSP Education and Community has a history of involvement in school, college and community project work. As part of YSP's ethos and commitment to access to the arts for everyone, cultural diversity and social inclusion, these projects have supported work, residencies and long-term partnerships with schools, community organisations, local authorities, arts organisations and galleries.
Projects have included work in partnership with organisations such as the Royal Society of British Sculptors, the Feiweles Trust, Kirklees MDC, Barnsley Schools Effectiveness Service, the Design Centre Barnsley, Sheffield Arts Education, the Eridge Trust, the Church Mission Society, and the Department for Education and Skills. Project work can include exhibitions of work created, along with background interpretation material. The aim of these partnerships is to support creative and imaginative arts programmes, providing opportunities for students to have first hand experience of working with art and artists.
YSP's popular Sculpture Courses have extended their range due to public demand. This year choose from bronze casting, stone carving, metal work and wood carving.
