Booking an education visit

Self directed groups are welcome to visit the sculpture park to experience the inspirational learning environment. Group leaders are responsible for all members of their party whilst at YSP, school groups must be supervised at all times.

It is essential all groups book a minimum of 5 working days in advance.

 When booking, your visit can be discussed with Education staff and arrangements made for any special requirements. On booking you will be sent confirmation details along with current exhibition guides and a generic health and safety document. Please book well in advance to avoid disappointment, we limit group bookings in the park especially during the summer term and some days do get fully booked. We recommend a preliminary visit by group leaders, particularly if bringing a group to YSP for the first time. Please note that the YSP restaurant is only for customers who have purchased food and drink on the premises. Groups wishing to bring their own refreshments are welcome to use the outdoor picnic facilities provided.

 Please park at the Kennel Block car park, near the education site.

Education group booking fee: Please note that there is a £10 administration fee per education group, which includes parking for one coach or minibus.

It is essential that children are supervised throughout their visit to YSP, and that Carers understand they have overall responsibility for the children under their care, and this responsibility cannot be handed over to YSP Staff.
• 1 Adult for every 6 Pupils in School Years 1 to 3
• 1 Adult for every 10 Pupils in School Years 4 onwards
(These ratios satisfy the levels of supervision recommended by DfES Health and Safety of Pupils on Educational Visits 1998)
