Sura Susso
Born in West African, Sura Susso is a kora player, percussionist and composer based in the UK, known to combine his traditional roots music with a range of cross cultural projects. Susso was born in a griot family; cultural figures in society across West Africa who carry the cultural knowledge and regional identity of their communities with them through song, music, poetry and spiritual guidance.

‘Sura Susso delighted a full-house audience...Magical music, beautifully presented!'

‘Blessed with an engaging personality and a respect for the tradition yet a modern sensibility alongside great technical expertise. Sura has the ability to bring kora playing to a whole new audience.'
